Cerakote MC-157 Matte Ceramic Clear is the strongest clear coat on the market. MC-157 is a lower viscosity version of our MC-161 and can be applied at lower film thicknesses (.25 mil) where tolerance is critical. MC-157 is one of our most popular clear coats because of its industry leading hardness, chemical resistance, wear performance and UV stability. MC-157 is a low gloss, air cured, ceramic clear coating that can be used as a top coat over a number of materials such as:
