Custom Solutions

We work closely with our partners and customers in the defense as well as the aerospace sectors to develop unique coatings and solutions for specific problems.

  • It is recommended to replace the epoxy coating in the current coating system with Cerakote to prevent delamination and burning on the inner skin of the engine cowling during aircraft hovering. Additionally, the recommended Cerakote C-7700 Glacier Silver can be used to paint current engine cowlings to improve their heat resistance. Cerakote has long been used in the automotive industry, where exhaust systems are thermally insulated to reduce engine compartment temperatures. The results of this study are consistently positive and demonstrate its applicability in aircraft.

Cerakote is the alternative to various coating systems

Cerakote is a strong alternative to many traditional coatings in the armor and defense sector because it combines protection, durability, and precision. Compared to anodizing, bluing, galvanizing, or phosphating, it usually offers a better combination of corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and material versatility. Cerakote also scores over cathodic dip coating (KTL), powder coating, or wet paint systems with a very thin layer that hardly affects fits and tolerances.
